What to Eat When on a Teatox ? Skinny Tea Time recommends teatox diet
Although you will lose weight and gain the benefits of our skinny tea during teatox, we recommend our customers to follow our eating plan to achieve additional weight-loss and health benefits! Please note that this eating plan is not a long term plan, it is designed to help you achieve results quickly until you are at a point where you wish to maintain your weight.
Before we get into the details; if you had to choose just three rules to adhere to during your tea detox diet here is what we think:
1. No Sugar: Consume no artificial sugars during the Detox
2. Drink LOTS of Water: 2-3 litres a day
3. No “white” foods: No bread, pasta, processed foods
All vegetables- if the aim is to lose weight, avoid potatoes
All grains and legumes. Includes quinoa, oats, lentils, beans
All nuts and seeds : Raw or dry-roasted walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, chia seed, psyllium husk, linseeds
Natural Fats such as avocado, nuts, and flaxseed oil, olive oil, and fish oil, for a daily dose of good fats and fatty acids
Protein is great because it makes you feel full! Chicken breast , fish, lean red meat, lentils; split peas; chickpeas; black, kidney, adzuki, white, pinto or any other variety of dried beans
All herbs and spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, star anise, fennel seed, dill, garlic, ginger, oregano, parsley, rosemary, tarragon, thyme, cilantro, sage, basil, marjoram and chives.
In addition to Skinny Tea Time detox diet,
Water: 2-3L per day – throughout the day. Fresh lemon juice can be added to aid digestion
Tea: Any other herbal teas (do not add milk or sugar) – in particular green tea – try to have 3-5 cups of green tea per day to compliment the teatox diet.
Coffee: It is best to avoid coffee during the detox however if you need it then it can be consumed before midday as a Long Black or with a little soy milk.
